Load Shedding Program for Friday 27th February, 2015

FEA teams continue with fault location and repairs to the 33,000volts underground cable that supplies power from the Vatuwaqa Substation to the Suva Substation.

It is difficult to estimate repair times, however EFL is working around the clock to locate and then repair the faults at the earliest possible time.

As mentioned yesterday and today, EFL has no other option but to resort to load shedding to ease the demand off the remaining healthy transmission circuits to avoid major unplanned blackouts. Our load shedding program for tomorrow is as follows:

The EFL sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused to all our valued customers which is beyond our control.
